Route description
Sa Calobra – The Hardest Climb on the Island
Sa Calobra is the most famous and demanding ascent on Mallorca. The 27 switchbacks through the Torrent de Pareis gorge are world-renowned – no surprise that pro teams like Sky, Jumbo-Visma and UAE Team Emirates regularly hold their training camps here.
The route departs from Port de Sóller and descends via Coll dels Reis (871 m) to Sa Calobra. The real challenge: the return climb of 9.4 km averaging 7.1%. Then comes Puig Major – Mallorca’s roof.
Route character: Summit finishes, long climbs, technical descents
Best season: March to May, September to November
Starting point: Port de Sóller (recommended)
